Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of relevant large scale program/project management experience, including operating in complex matrix org structures across the globe
  • 5 years of experience in setting up and improving processes through design thinking, lean or six sigma efforts
  • Experience working with Contingent Workforce and Suppliers

Preferred qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with outsourcing/offshoring including demand management, forecasting and vendor management
  • Demonstrated personal accountability and integrity, and an ability to build strong, productive relationships across the business
  • Ability to engage with senior level leadership effectively, facilitate discussions about complex topics, influence effectively, and reach agreement
  • Proven ability to manage large complex programs and drive change.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with capability to process high amount of data to drive business strategies and decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to consult, influence, and manage clients

The Google People Services, Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team manages end-to-end oversight of Google’s Extended (Contingent) Workforce. The xWS team is responsible for the strategy, governance, and operations across the Temp, Vendor and Contractor (TVC) space. Our team makes it easy for Google managers to engage with the contingent workforce, providing training, standards, and guidelines to minimize Google’s risk and offering data and insights on planning and strategy for new and existing engagements. We provide processes, tools and know-how to support Googlers through the lifecycle of contingent workforce engagements, so our businesses can make informed decisions to put the right talent in the right locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy a global supply/demand forecasting process for infrastructure. Operate a pilot, assess findings, course correct and launch a full fledged global process in partnership with other Google ecosystem partners like facilities, IT, legal etc.
  • Develop and deploy interface and standard global processes with ecosystem partners for medium to long term facilities expansions and build outs
  • Work with our suppliers to create a view for global availability of their infrastructure build out that can be leveraged by Google programs to scale their operations
  • Develop BI tools and databases for easy, relevant access to seat capacity and demand data by business/region/worktype and hold business areas accountable for occupancy levels
  • Deliver Communication and Change Management strategy to keep users informed about new features, operational capabilities and improvements delivered
