Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in adult development and organizational behavior change.
  • Experience in needs assessment, instructional design and measuring development programs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical data skills (e.g. SQL or similar).
  • Finance skills or strong network in a Finance organization.
  • Marketing and communications experience.
  • Experience in managing systems implementation training.
  • Experience vetting and managing multiple vendor relationships.
  • Ability to motivate and manage distributed teams or multiple stakeholders. Passion for teaching with evidence of strong facilitation skills.

The Finance Academy team support the global Finance organization. We recommend, build and deliver engaging and scalable learning experiences for every job path/level from entry level to VP. In this role you will research, identify, design and manage creative learning programs. You can get to grips with any topic by asking the right questions or finding the right people and you will have the freedom and autonomy to build your own learning experiences from scratch. You will support your own project teams, try new things, manage your own budget, improve existing classes and source brand new external offerings. Our team is small and nimble and you will get the satisfaction of having exposure to the full end-to-end process and programs. You experienced and can work autonomously at VP/Director level, make critical budget vs impact decisions, implement long term strategies to shift organizational behavior and balance multiple training priorities across different teams. Typical training projects will include supporting the finance system transformation efforts and advancing data skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish learning priorities at VP/Director level and understand how they fit in the larger context/strategy. Influence leaders to take ownership of program sponsorship and in some cases, facilitate.
  • Create learning paths for all roles/levels and maintain existing curriculum within assigned area.
  • Assess the complexity and potential impact of a new request quickly, prioritize projects, build the right subject-matter-expert teams across Finance (or externally), and inspire busy people to provide you with the content you need.
  • Oversee content development of your SME/External teams, manage pilots and implement recommendations. Manage launch communications and logistics of in-person classes.
  • Design reports to show real business results, measure and report out to senior leaders. Facilitate in-classroom courses, as and when required.
