Quality Control Supervisor

Lead the activities related to quality control inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established standards within Honeywell. You will ensure that quality in being maintained in all factors involved in production. Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. You will establish and implement a complete quality control program that identifies potential and actual problems and oversee team involvement with corrective actions. You will apply your expertise and problem solving techniques to resolve critical quality control issues.

Responsibilities

·  Responsible for all laboratory activities including supervision, scheduling, training, and development.

·  Ensures laboratories adhere to applicable government regulations, customer requirements, and certification requirements.

·  Drives continuous laboratory improvement utilizing Six Sigma and Lean techniques.

·  Assures the quality and integrity of laboratory data.  Maintains laboratory quality assurance programs.

·  Assists in the development and review of analytical and sampling procedures, policies, and methods.

·  Assists in the maintenance of plant’s formalized quality system (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO/IEC 17025 and cGMP)

·  Ensures processes are standardized where applicable.  Implements best practices across laboratory areas.

·  Develops laboratory goals that support plant and business area initiatives.

·  Maintains Laboratory Information Management System, including customer database and COA formats.

·  Responsible for implementation of corrective actions for laboratory safety, quality and environmental audit findings and nonconformances.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • B.S. in Chemistry or related technical discipline preferred
  • Minimum of five years laboratory experience, preferably in a chemical plant environment

WE VALUE

  • Contribute to the site’s need to remain certified to automotive quality standards (IATF 16949:2016 and VDA 6.3).
  • Maintain/Improve  the lab’s contribution to growth metric performance.  Ensure that HOS  and BIQ remains vibrant across the QC function..
  • Achieve an ISO/IEC 17025 certification for the laboratory.
  • Expected to work with little supervision and support other departments to meet their needs.
  • ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, VDA 6.3, ISO/IEC 17025 experience
  • Strong statistical (Minitab, Six Sigma, Lean) and total quality background required
  • Prior exposure to laboratory certification through an accredited body (A2LA) would be beneficial
  • Experience in quality control and manufacturing environment
  • Experience in leadership role
  • Good analytical and creative problem solving skill
