About this role
- Perform all daily inspection and test necessary to achieve the quality of construction required as per the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site;
- Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan;
- Quality control of concrete and batching plant including review of concrete design mix and trial mix as and when required;
- Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report;
- Should have experience in fabrication and erection of structural steel;
- Report to the QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality Management;
- Taking care of QA/QC documents of the project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents;
- Coordinating all tests including 3rd party inspections and tests are also part of the regular responsibilities;
- Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to different disciplines and interfacing the multidisciplinary operations;
- Develop method statement, Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project;
- Carry out Internal Audit and Vendor/Supplier as per Project Quality Plan;
- Review of material sub mittal prior to submission Company/Engineer;
- Preparation and management of punch lists and pending work lists;
- Final documentation for handing over dossiers.
About you
- Should have Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized University / Institution;
- 10 years post qualification work experience out of which 5 years should be in QA/QC field;
- At least 5 years working experience in GCC Countries is desirable;
- Experience in Industrial and/or Desalination plant project is desirable;
- QMS lead auditor certification is desirable but not essential.
