We lead the planning and implementation of high-value, quality human resources programs, practices and procedures for people at all levels. We’re also trusted to advise company leaders on HR policy and programs, recommending decisions in line with the company’s strategic direction.

  • Business strategy Enabler – Ensure cross BU collaboration on unique and differentiated business requirements
  • HR Site/Country Leadership and Compliance – Drives an engaging workplace at our sites across US and Canada – ensuring compliance with local employment regulations and practices and any HR initiatives and policies – Site/Country Assessments, Tell Dell site reporting/action plans, HRS liaison to state, country and local agencies e.g. Chamber of Commerce, Ministries of Labor, Workforce Commissions, etc. Member of site/country leadership team senior staff. Provide consultation to site leaders on HR related matters, policies and practices.
  • Engagement & Great Places to Work programs and Strategies – Ensures strong engagement and Great Place to Work strategies are defined, implemented and measured across all sites and countries. Leads team to provide direct support and consultation to site/country leadership teams to ensure GPTW, strong employment brand and team member/leader engagement across site/country; local execution of Dell Culture Code
  • Leverages centralized HR Service Desk (Team Member and ER Services) for the provision of direct advice/counsel to team members.  Partners (as needed) with Ethics, ER, and Dell Legal on level 3 ER matters requiring local attention/engagement from HR resource(s) and will (as needed) serve as local representative for unemployment claims and legal hearings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide site leadership, responsive management services consultation to leaders,  and enable collaboration with HR business partners, HR COEs and key stakeholders
  • Provide HR support to the regional west sites including UT, CO, AZ, NV, and WY
  • Partner closely with leadership and employees to improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness aimed at delivering stronger business performance
  • Assists leaders in providing employees with development opportunities that align with current and future capabilities
  • Employ effective change management strategies to aid in business transformation initiatives
  • Provide customer-focused consultancy that adds value, helps the organization achieve successful results, and is valued by management and team members

Essential Requirements

  • 7+ yrs. relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; Workday experience will be a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach

Education

Undergraduate degree and 6-10years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 4 – 8years relevant experience.
