Position Specific Description
Design, develop, implement and maintain complex and efficient SAP Business Intelligence financial and operational reports in support of the internal and external reporting requirements of FPL.
- Extensive technical proficiency in all aspects of BI including data architecture and modeling, Web Application Designer/Design Studio and BEX Query Designer and Analyzer in building complex queries and workbooks and financial dashboards in BW 7.5 and BOBJ 4.2
- Good functional knowledge of SAP financial modules including FI-CO, FERC, GL, Project Systems and BPC.
- Works closely with core team members, business users and relevant IM personnel throughout the report development life cycle.
- Competent with BW 7.4 security/authorization design and implementation.
- Creation of BEx queries on HANA Composite Providers.
- Knowledge of Calculation Views in HANA 2.0
- Creation of Business Objects 4.2 – Webi Queries and AO (Analysis for Office 4.2).
Work Experience
- 3 – 4+ years SAP BW experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in BW Reporting related to Financial Reporting.
- At least 2 BW Implementations in the financial areas and have related ECC experience (preferably in PCA or ECCS), and strong accounting and finance background (i.e. familiar with P&L and Balance Sheet Reporting).
- 1+ year in supporting existing SAP Systems for at least 1 year
The following experience is required/desired:
- Experience reporting on GL, FERC, PCA, CCA, or ECCS data is required.
- Experience with BEX Queries required.
- Experience with BW version 7.4 or higher including integrating queries in web templates/Design Studio is required.
- Experience with Web Application Designer required.
- Experience in any of the following ECC Financial areas: FI-GL, PCA, CCA, PS, AM, TR, AP, AR, ECCS is a plus.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus
- Experience with Crystal Reports and Business Objects Dashboards, WEBI and Lumira a Plus
Job Overview
This position provides end-user support within the SAP software environment. Employees in this role are responsible for specification and configuration of SAP application enhancements and proactive identification of opportunities to use SAP functionality to better support business processes. Successful candidates will work with project managers, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Business Solutions Managers, and information management and business representatives to keep abreast of operational issues and initiatives with a potential SAP impact.
