Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Design & Development of Electro-Mechanical Systems and Optimization of Dynamic & Static mechanical components.
• Responsible for undertaking the entire Product Development Cycle – Including Concept Ideation, Prototyping, Component Selection & Sourcing, Manufacturing  & Assembly of the System.
• Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable GD&T Standards & Material specifications.
• Preparation of Technical specifications, BOM & Costing.
• Managing the production, assembly and testing on technically demanding development projects.

Desired Profile of the Candidate:

• Innovative problem-solving Skills & experience in a diverse range of areas and be able to take ideas from an early stage through to a finished design.
• Knowledge on Analysis of mechanical equipment, including Finite Element analysis for structural fatigue.
• Knowledge in 3D Printing, CNC Programming, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Laser Cutting Process & Surface Finishing Techniques.
• Knowledge of Calculations for Motor torque rating, Load data & Cycle time.
  Able to present ideas through sketches, animations, and photorealistic rendering.
• Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques.
• Hands-on ability to build, test and troubleshoot the devices.
• Excellent time management skills, able to balance the priorities of multiple projects.
• Experience of sourcing vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.

Software Prefered: Catia, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Keyshot.

Qualification: BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 3-5 Years in Mechanical Design & Engineering in automation or robotics field.
