We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our El Segundo, CA location.

Candidate should show recent demonstrated ability in one or more of the following areas:

  • Advanced technology research & development
  • Maturing developed technology into higher order products/capabilities
  • Technology or product/capability development using agile development
  • Engineering laboratory operations
  • Large system assembly, integration & test, including requirements traceability culminating in requirements validation & verification

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects.
  • Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met.
  • Works with other to develop program test strategies.
  • Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership.
  • Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product life-cycle.
  • Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • Makes recommendations for technology investments.
  • Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 1+ years of experience with planning, sequencing, and installation of flight wire harnesses
  • 1+ years of experience in managing a team or as a technical lead
  • 3+ years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with design, build and  test of harnesses and power systems is highly desirable
  • Top Secret and SCI Clearance is highly desirable

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
