General Scope:

Manage the Paris Technical Center, and engineering, design, and development of rubber and plastic sealing products

Location:

Paris, TN

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety First! Safety Always! Instill a preventive safety culture
  • Develop Talent and improve Engagement using the Talent Management Committee process
  • Lead the Paris Tech Center and drive cultural change
    • Deliver Expense and CapEx below AOP
    • Create a culture of continual learning, continuous improvement, and cooperation
  • Manage, motivate, and develop a strong high performing team.
    • Establish goals
    • Monitor progress
    • Provide coaching and feedback
    • Identify resource constraints and impact
  • Develop and expand sealing product line
  • Drive team to deliver target requirements for growth and profitability.
  • Instill discipline with the team to improve relationship development with internal and external Customers
  • Monitor Customer activity and develop appropriate action as needed: including but not limited to, Performance Metrics, scorecard, forecasts, A/R, organizational updates.
  • Build customer relationships and deliver new programs by developing and participating in technical presentations / reviews / tech days
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor activity.
  • Manage report activity to senior leadership, for example, 4-Panel monthly reports, and other required reporting.
  • Interface with manufacturing facilities to ensure designs can be manufactured with zero defects
  • Interface with Program Managers / Coordinators to ensure successful and timely customer launches.

 

Qualifications:

  • BSME Or Equivalent
  • 10 + Years Product Development Experience
  • Prior Customer Interaction and negotiation experience
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen including knowledge of manufacturing, finance, and marketing.Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team building results.
  • Excellent Documentation and Organization Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills – Oral and Written
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills
  • Inter-Cultural Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Internal Workflows and Processes
  • Domestic and international travel as required to support internal and external activities.
