Senior HR Business Partner

DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s HR Organization is seeking a flexible and adaptive Sr. HR Business Partner to provide hands-on organizational support for the Financial Operations (FinOps) and Employee Services organizations located in Manila, Philippines. Amazon is looking for an experienced HRBP that will demonstrate business acumen, be driven by developing top talent, and be innovative in their thinking about how to support the organizations and leaders in scaling with growth.
As the first HR leader supporting the team in-country, you will have the opportunity to shape the HR strategy and support leaders in building and shaping their organizations. In this role, you will apply business knowledge to inform and drive the short and long term talent management plan and priorities for the Employee Services and FinOps organizations. The Sr. HRBP is responsible for various HR initiatives and business-wide HR responsibilities including partnership to the business, partnership to external entities (as appropriate), employee engagement, leadership training and development, succession planning, policy review and implementation, etc. The Sr. HRBP is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to Amazon FinOps and Employee Services in Manila. The role is critical in executing people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR strategic excellence and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
· Manage two different groups of employees working with multiple leaders globally across Fin-Ops and Employee Services.
· Contribute to the development, implementation and evolution of the HR strategy to support the APAC FinOps and Employee Services organizations in areas such as organizational design, performance management, and talent development.
· Foster Amazon’s customer-centric culture through partnering with operations leaders to build and foster a culture of associate engagement, customer centricity and ownership.
· Use influence and coaching skills to cultivate a culture that reflects the values and principles of the organization.
· Effectively engage, partner and consult with recruiting partners to meet the talent acquisition needs for the organization; interview and assess manager level candidates; and support the continued development of talent assessment skills within the organization – ensuring a commitment to finding, growing and retaining talent.
· Assess leadership and employee development training needs and provide solutions as appropriate.
· Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.
· Responsible for managing statutory compliance in accordance with local laws.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
· 8+ years’ experience in an HR business partner role within an international fast paced customer driven environment working with stakeholders/client groups in a shared services operations setting.
· Ability to work across shifts.
· Effective communication skills – written, verbal and listening skills.
· People empathy, consulting and coaching skills.
· Sound expertise in Philippine labor laws.
· Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
· Willingness and ability to both be hands on with all levels of the organization as well as serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders.
· Excellent presentation skills and experience delivering training.
· Strong analytical skills. Experience using and presenting data to make decisions.
· Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team/business, especially in a multicultural and multi-location environment.
· Willingness and ability to travel.
· Desire to grow and take on increased scope of responsibility, including management responsibility.
· Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy and goals into optimal HR processes that are scalable, simple, customer-focused and adaptable to unique and changing business needs.
· Able to manage tasks with minimal oversight, and thrive in a fast-paced and frugal environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
· Ability to influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization, change thinking, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without damaging relationships.
· Experience with work councils.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree/legal background preferred.
· Ability to craft and analyze data to influence decision-making.
· Ability to provide leadership, work collaboratively on cross-functional teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels and functional areas of an organization.
