Senior Human Resources Leader

We are looking for a Sr. HR Manager, a leader in delivering game-changing strategies and programs to support AWS Professional Services Americas growth and complexity. You will partner with your clients throughout the planning and execution for programs that matter, tying them back to business strategy. You will also work to improve organizational design and structure, provide change leadership and executive coaching, as well as design and deliver training, as needed.

The human resources leader is both a strategic and hands-on role including improving organizational effectiveness & design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching and driving HR functional excellence. We are looking for someone who has the ability to interact and influence across all levels of the organization and work closely with central teams to drive positive change.

You will be both strategic and hands-on, providing leadership and expertise in key areas of organizational/cultural health, talent assessment, and management, high-performance building teams, organizational development/design, and compensation. You will build, adapt, and drive HR programs that are sustainable and simple. The right candidate will differentiate themselves from others through a strong record of applying critical thinking, judgment, and analytical curiosity to ensure focus on the right things, and using metrics and anecdotal data to influence and measure success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work with senior management to identify areas of opportunity, and develop and implement HR solutions to address these areas.
· Partner with the business to lead our Organization and Leadership Review, which focuses on succession planning, talent development and organizational health priorities.
· Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
· Provide authentic coaching to employees, managers, and executives.
· Drive operational excellence and efficiency in HR processes to enable the organization to hire and develop talent at scale and consistently to Amazon principles.
· Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.
· Work with line managers and employees to address various employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
· Collaborate with others to assess, create and implement solutions within the client group.
· Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience to recommend systemic improvements.
· Staying up-to-date with issues and concerns relating to the work environment.
· Implementing procedure and policy as related to the HR Department.
· Making certain all employment regulations are met and making available all information and forms to the employee.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in human resources, business, mathematics, science, or related field.
· 8+ years of experience in a leadership role with knowledge and experience in human resource management and/or business partner functions.
· Previous employee relations and talent assessment experience.
· At least seven years of experience in a leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management.
· Excellent business acumen and an ability to understand a P&L.
· Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem-solving.
· Depth of pragmatic experience with compensation planning, negotiation, and implementation.
· Ability and desire to own a space, provide thought leadership and catalyze results.
· Strong judgment and employee relations experience.
· Effective Communication/Facilitation: The Sr. HR Leader must be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, work with managers to send clear and consistent messages, be an effective communicator in writing, facilitation, be able to drive change, facilitate internal communication processes, and facilitate dissemination of internal customer information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Able to travel, as needed.
· Excellent business acumen and an ability to understand a P&L.
· Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving.
· Depth of pragmatic experience with compensation planning, negotiation, and implementation.
· Proficiency with sales incentive plans a plus.
· An ability and desire to own a space, provide thought leadership, and catalyze results.
· Strong judgment and employee relations experience.
· Expertise in assessing management and executive talent.
· Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee relations, learning, and performance management.
· Work experience in the tech industry, or if not, successful tenure at two different industries.
· Deep understanding of “what great HR looks like” and how business cycles influence the people agenda.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
