The Role:
We are looking for experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team for the development of our cloud platform that enables innovative speech devices like Amazon Echo. Your job will be to work with multiple software engineers and other team members, Product and Program Managers to design and develop new ways of providing exciting and compelling experiences. You’ll be working with senior engineers and principle engineers to improve performance, latency, stability and availability of large scale distributed systems. You’ll measure your success by the quality of your execution, the pace of innovation you help drive, and the increased satisfaction you deliver. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· High school or equivalent diploma or experience
· 1+ years experience building successful production software systems
· Knowledge system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs.
· Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
· Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces
· Experience with the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Objective C, Python) and open-source technologies (Linux, SQLite, OpenGL, Spring, Hibernate)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree
· Experience working on a large scale deployments and performance tuning.
· Ability to work in a dynamic fast moving and fast changing environment
· Previous experience working in Agile team and be able to size Agile stories
· JAVA Performance tuning
· Exceptional interpersonal communication skill, including verbal, written, listening and customer relationships
· Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills
