Position Description

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Performing all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, and code development, testing and operations
  • Lead the development of UI and related API & Microservices – build, operationalize and support
  • Build and deliver in DevOps model using automation and CI/CD pipeline
  • Designing and implementing product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
  • Mentor junior engineers on the team on software engineering practices and software delivery
  • Design, develop and test reusable frameworks, libraries and Java components
  • Working very closely with Architecture group and driving technical solutions
  • Be innovative in solution design and development to meet the needs of the business
  • Address the performance issues and design the solutions to meet low latency needs
  • Support the implementation and drive it to stable state in production
  • Provide alternate design solutions along with project estimates
  • Reviewing code and providing feedback relative to best practices, improving performance etc.
  • Troubleshooting production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
  • Drive the team and collaborate to meet project timelines

Required Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on expertise with Java UI technologies such as Angular JS/Node.JS, React JS, Chart JS, D3 etc.
  • 2+ years hands-on expertise with Enterprise Java, Linux/Unix, and SQL
  • 2+ years hands on experience with RESTful API, JSON, Cassandra/MongoDB/NoSQL, Docker/ /Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins (CI/CD)
  • Experience with OpenShift
  • Agile/Scrum work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years hands-on expertise with Big Data technologies: Spark, Scala, Kafka, HDFS
