It’s still Day One in Kindle Content, and we are looking for an exceptionally-talented, bright, and entrepreneurial Sr. Marketing Manager to help us make progress towards our goal to make “Every book ever written, available (in any language) in 60 seconds”. This is an exciting opportunity to be a seed member of a new team focused on the next round of International Expansion for Kindle and the digital pipeline.

This role will be responsible for development and execution of bold creative marketing & merchandising programs to accelerate our ability to serve customers in new & emerging regions around the world, as well as customer experience – from discovery through to post-purchase.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with online and offline marketing, making data-informed decisions, and influencing others. They will have experience managing customer-facing businesses and a demonstrated understanding of generating traffic and new customer acquisition.

The successful candidate will work effectively across different teams (external and internal), and functions- your work will span across several functions, Product, Operations, Reader, Author & Publisher experience, and be responsible for Kindle Stores in new & emerging Kindle regions.

We are seeking a Sr Marketing Manager to play a significant role in driving key marketing programs and work streams for Kindle International Expansion. You must be comfortable working both at the strategic level and diving deep into implementation as needed (managing campaigns, writing business requirements and analyzing data). You will show hustle, take ownership and help foster a high-energy, high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities include:
· Lead strategy, coordination, and execution of Kindle International Content merchandising
· Develop the framework to enable strong marketing from vendors in our new & emerging kindle marketplaces
· Invent, scale, and optimize paid marketing campaigns across multiple channels and networks, managed both internally and with external agencies
· Establish business metrics and indicators for success, and own weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting
· Work with partner teams (Kindle Unlimited, Non-Fiction, Audible, Books, Devices) to share best practices and identify potential synergies
· Lead other special projects as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree
· 5+ years in merchandising, marketing, advertising, or brand management roles
· Flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time if necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Industry background in Internet commerce, or Publishing
· MBA degree
· A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
· Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others.
· Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and problem solve
