Role Summary:

Responsible for acting as the CV OR and Interventional Cardiology Clinical expert in assigned territory; leading initiatives to meet quarterly & annual revenue targets while developing customer relationships & awareness into a key growing Ultrasound market, Cardiovascular OR.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create awareness amongst Cardiac Anesthesiologists, Cardio Thoracic Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, practitioners and end users through the development of key customer relationships, programs and events
  • Develop and execute business strategies to penetrate the OR market and successfully sell against competition
  • Prospecting for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining our existing customer portfolio
  • Support the CV Ultrasound Product Sales Specialists during the sales process as the expert within the OR
  • Perform strategic product demonstrations, installations and training at the customer in the OR Setting Provide technical and clinical leadership during sales process by demonstrating full range of products within the OR including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers
  • Development of long-term customer relationships through expert reputation, coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs, drives customer satisfaction and maintains strong after-sales relationships
  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and customer training
  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies Lead OR skill development within the local CV Applications team
  • Penetrating competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements
  • Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive CV OR sales
  • Annual achievement of multiple sales and revenue targets
  • Accountable for the Sales Operating plan for Revenue for assigned territory

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Candidate location is flexible, but must live within assigned territory which includes TX, MO, AR, OK
  • Candidate should live near a major airport that allows effective coverage of assigned customers
  • High School Diploma and RDCS certification (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS certification (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) Skilled in 2D, Doppler and color flow imaging Demonstrated skills in pediatric cardiac echo & TEE desired
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience following certification with demonstrated skill in Cardiac OR sonography imaging
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% both within and outside your specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on geography and business need
  • The successful applicant must comply with GEHC’s standard background check, including a postoffer drug test
  • In addition, during employment, the employee must comply with all customer access policies, including but not limited to obtaining and/or providing proof of required immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks (including a federal government background check if assigned to support a contract with the federal government)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

Preferred locations are St Louis, Oklahoma City or Dallas

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous commercial CV Ultrasound OR applications experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a high stress, high pace OR environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, other sales segments and GE Healthcare functions
  • Strong presentation skills (public speaking and lecture experience desired)
  • Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills (ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to global counterparts and to team members in other functional organizations)
  • Solid problem-solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, handle objections and negotiate during the sales process)
  • Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)
  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
  • Strong clear-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time
  • Willingness to be flexible/adapt to changing work environments
  • Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve
  • Knowledge of and experience with CV OR ultrasound market place
