Job Description

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

• Review customer requirements, sales projections, and inventory levels for all materials, FG, WIP, and raw materials to determine appropriate stocking levels and replenishment plans to support operations. Amend kanban, safety stocks as appropriate

• Use planning systems and processes to make and execute machine and staffing capacity planning decisions. Review capacity to identify and communicate bottleneck areas and manage over/under capacity situations to Operations Department…

• Work with the Finance, Sales, Marketing Departments and customers to obtain forecast/sales information to build demand models and plan resources to create demand.

• Create S&OP capacity management reports, including near term capacity, and present information to site leaders.

• Analyze trends in manufacturing, sales, distribution, general business conditions, and other related areas and ensure overall effectiveness of product forecasting and safety stock strategies.

• Implement lean concepts and continuous improvements regarding supply chain, material management and logistics systems, and processes. Identify opportunities for improvement by completing detailed analysis for management consideration and implementation.

• Cross-train within the supply chain team and serve as back up where needed.

• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of product meet specifications. May develop the master schedule for production or manufacturing. Source raw materials as required.

• Manage dependency transfers between plants.

• Participate in physical inventory process.

• Determine need and develop tools to support supply chain operations, sales, and customer requirements.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA 21CFR Part 820 and cGMP requirements for all buying, planning, and scheduling activities.

• Leadership of site strategic initiatives and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent experience in similar role.

• 1-3 years of planning/analytical experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong communication and networking skills dealing with all functions and levels of the organization.

• Works effectively with a wide number of functional areas. Able to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based environment.

• Must have previous experience in PC-based planning and inventory systems, ERP/MRP.

• Must demonstrate a flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving.

• Advanced skills in taking large amount of data and distilling into meaningful solutions.

• Able to develop systematic processes to recreate complex analyses for frequent monitoring of various business conditions.

• Can ensure strategies and tactical plans are consistent with overall manufacturing and service functional objectives.
