To keep driving positive performance and ensure sustainable growth, we need to provide our CR customers with the best shopping experience that meets their shopper missions and needs. An efficient and competitive supply chain is a vital part of achieving this ambition.
What’s the role?
As the UK Convenience Retail Supply Chain Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing critical relationships with our chosen CR supply chain providers in the UK. Using your commercial know-how to effectively develop supply chain strategies and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.

A strong self-starter who can works well under pressure, you’ll also be both flexible and agile enough to work as part of a rapidly evolving business backdrop, meeting changing business demands head-on, and identifying opportunities for business or process improvements.
Results driven, you’ll ensure CR UK sales and income streams can be maximised; you’ll challenge supply chain partners to improve operational efficiencies; and you’ll deliver against CR UK growth strategies, always with the aim to satisfy consumer needs.
More specific duties will include:
  • Managing the collection, insight generation and dissemination of Supply Chain data in the UK.
  • Developing effective systems to track efficiencies and measure performance.
  • Championing compliance to HSSE requirements and targets set for the CR UK Supply Chain.
A capable relationship manager and negotiator, you’ll be able to adapt your communication style and find ways to influence and win trust from a range of stakeholders, successfully collaborating with both UK and global colleagues and finding ways to share best practice.

Requirements

What we need from you

You’ll have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience within an organisation with a fast-moving supply chain. You’ll also be able to show us your understanding of retail fundamentals such a purchasing, assortment, merchandising and operational processes and procedures. Beyond your knowledge of contract management and financial targets, we’re keen to hear from men and women with as many of the following on their CV:

  • Evidence of strong subject matter experience gained in supply chain.
  • First-hand experience or understanding of the fast-moving retail business.
  • Proven direct exposure to contract management.
  • Preferably some experience, or a clear understanding, of the UK convenience retail business.
  • Experience in multiple retail disciplines would also be beneficial.
  • Proven analytical skills, with evidence of understanding the customer and/or retailer.
  • Direct exposure to contract management or account management.
