Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition Onboarding

The Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition Onboarding role is a strategic business partner responsible for leading a new team overseeing all post-offer processing of candidates including prescreening activities, post-offer certification processes, and document retention. This role will also oversee and act as subject matter expect for recruiting compliance activities, including outreach. The role is responsible for ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of TA services across the enterprise. The Sr. Manager often serves as project lead/representative for major TA projects and initiatives, managing timelines and deliverables and working with cross-divisional teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and strategically manage teams responsible for pre-employment screening, document retention, post-offer certification, and outreach.
  • Develop both strategic and tactical plans for insourcing current pre-employment screening activities.
  • Oversees and manages the processing and completion of all pre-employment screening activities including standard background checks, drug screenings, fingerprinting, physical agility testing, DOT forms, etc.
  • Responsible for providing adjudication decisions for pre-employment screenings at the TA level. Will partner with Security, Equal Opportunity, and Legal as necessary for adjudications when necessary.
  • Development and implementation of internal checks to ensure compliance to processes and procedures, both internal to Delta and regulatory agencies including OFCCP, EEO, FAA, and DOT.
  • Identification of training needs resulting from internal checks.
  • Partnering with HR, Equal Opportunity, and Legal groups in development of training.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing post-offer processes, including process mapping, data analysis, and formulating recommended solutions.
  • Responsible for leading, managing and developing staff performing day to day activities associated with post-offer processing, document retention and outreach.

    Skills and Qualifications
    Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Strong understanding of fundamental Human Resources and recruiting compliance and related policies, processes and practices.
  • Experience designing and executing repeating processes with quality and compliance to policy and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with internal or external counsel to understand legal parameters and apply them to policies, processes, and workplace issues.
  • Previous experience leading and directing a team including performance management of day to day activities and team/individual development.
  • Some travel required
  • Should have effective platform/presentation skills, to be a successful communicator across a diverse audience.
  • Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Should be able to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure with complex issues within established time constraints, and meet deadlines and objectives.
  • A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is required.
    Preferred:
  • Airline HR experience preferred.
  • Experience with pre-employment adjudication processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Federal Contractor EEO/AA laws and obligations including experience coordinating OFCCP audits.
