Talent Supply Chain Engagement Manager

The Talent Supply Chain Engagement Manager will focus in the areas of community engagement, candidate experience, placement, process improvement, strategy development and will lead a team of Engagement Team Leads, and Engagement Coordinators. This role will manage a team of direct reports across 10-15 Amazon facilities delivering about 15,000 hires per year.

Core Responsibilities:

Leads staffing team execution across the nodes in the expansion and continuous improvement of Amazon’s North American Workforce Staffing organization
·
Drives solutions across multiple stakeholders and partners effectively with central teams
·
Brings clarity and drives decisions on issues that are highly complex and/or impacting multiple businesses
·
Anticipates future business needs, identifies investments needed, and builds the infrastructure to ensure optimization capability is geared toward (or even ahead of) business demand
·
Drives staffing Best Practices with respect to improvement of work methods and standards
·
Leads the team by setting benchmarks, metrics, and understand how to prioritize to meet and exceed all business SLAs
·
Ensures mechanisms to measure team effectiveness are relevant and effective
·
Influences decision makers; is sought after for input on key decisions
·
Evolves and implements cross-functional staffing solutions to support new business models
·
Leads and drives projects, of increasing scale and complexity, and manages programs through completion.
·
Executes corporate-wide initiatives — defines project plans, assembles resources, manages implementation activities, and develops all processes associated with roll-out and ongoing support
·
Leads resource planning in accordance to Amazon’s budgeting and planning cycles.
·
Improves the Amazon employment value proposition by using data to develop workforce planning initiatives
·
Improves candidate experience – represents company and candidate interests, monitor SLAs, provides ongoing feedback, and addresses service issues
·
Makes recommendations to key stakeholders on building appropriate systems, processes, and reports and influences stakeholders as it relates to WFS strategies
·
Responsible for understanding overall Node labor needs, growth needs, and developing a strategy to help meet demand
·
Creates the business case for the operation of WFS, outlining strategic requirements for the Node and partnering with multiple groups including Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Payroll, etc. to successfully deploy hiring and launch sites within the Node.

Owns culture and morale for Workforce Staffing Engagement Team
·
Audits and monitors the activities of the Engagement Team to ensure the node is providing the optimum service levels
·
Develops/implements spend and expense forecasts
·
Establishes budget working with finance, sourcing, and marketing teams
·
Develops and maintains knowledge of labor market, economic trends, and changes affecting Amazon’s position as employment leader
·
Owns the Training and development of Engagement Team and growth plans
·
Resource planning and alignment to process candidates

Basic Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have all of the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
·
7+ years’ experience in program management, supply chain management, consulting background
·
5+ years of people management experience
·
Proven ability to influence C-level leadership
·
Proven experience in establishing partnership with senior business leaders to develop and lead the continuous improvement strategy across multiple sites
·
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple sites, projects and relationships
·
Possess the skills necessary to lead field teams in their ability to develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly action plans
·
Collaborate and communicate with business leaders on best practices, internal and external benchmarking, workforce acquisition data and program development
·
Ability to develop and implement operational processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams
·
Must have working knowledge of labor and employment laws
·
Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
·
Possess excellent problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and motivational skills
·
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
·
