Amazon’s Workforce Staffing team is seeking a motivated self-starter that can work in a fast paced, data driven environment supporting Workforce Staffing high-volume hiring. The Talent Supply Chain Optimization Team Lead will work to analyze the candidate pipeline at each site across the Node and business lines and ensure candidates move through the recruiting cycle quickly enough to meet the needs of the business. This role has the accountability of managing the candidate pipeline from the point of application to starting on Day 1. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, can see around corners, be an effective and motivating leader, and demonstrate a passion for process improvement. This role is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role, currently on our Workforce Staffing team.

Core Responsibilities:

Owns Node Results (on-time fill performance)
·
Dives deep into the details and audits frequently
·
Identifies risks and weighs options for mitigating before acting
·
Uses independent judgement to identify when to simplify vs when to innovate
·
Starts with the customer and works backwards
·
Plans all phases of successful operation for hiring and onboarding tier 1 associates for site
·
Ensures SOP’s are being followed
·
Builds plans to measure analyze, and improve funnel metrics
·
Tracks all events (HE/vNHO) scheduled for current and future weeks ensuring all events are “Green” based on current labor orders
·
Submits TT for Labor Orders and HE schedule
·
Coordinates with Sourcing and Engagement Team Lead on labor pool and market analytics to ensure alignment and driving to success
·
Plans upcoming week(s) based on the print file for vNHO’s, recap previous week numbers
·
Monitors current cohorts to make sure slots are filled and labor order will be made on Day 1
·
Ensures data integrity goals are met
·
Analyzes the talent pipeline by shift on the site, business line, and node levels
·
Tracks application and contingent offers to goals based on site labor orders and current pipeline fall-out
·
Makes staffing recommendations including but not limited to number of hiring events needed and when, how many overbooks are needed to meet Day 1 start goals, and whether additional sourcing activities are needed to increase application flow
·
Calculates up to date candidate pipeline fall-out ratios
·
Owns training, development, team culture and morale for Workforce Staffing Optimization Team

Additional Responsibilities:

·
Identifies process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data and partnering with internal teams
·
Develops strategies and executes to hit specific targets, such as pipeline metrics goals (i.e. overbooks
·
Monitors funnel metrics in Salesforce, applications to the requisition per day, number of contingencies pending, number of applicants ready to start, fill to vNHO and fill to Day1, Drug tests expiration, match candidates and hire them
·
Attends Labor Order planning/assumption calls/meetings
·
Develops process improvements to positively impact results in areas such as staffing throughout and candidate satisfaction scores
·
Participates on calls with Staffing, Sourcing, and Operations/Business teams
·
Provides training and coaching on pipeline management best practices across Workforce Staffing

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, or related field
·
5+ years’ experience in three or more of the following:

business analytics

labor planning

demand forecasting

3+ years of people management experience
·
Experience using and communicating performance metrics
·
Experience analyzing data using various tools for forecasting and optimization
·
Experience communicating and influencing across job levels and multiple stakeholders
·
Cross-functional project management experience
·
Ability to push back, foresee potential issues, and advocate for relentless improvement
·
Ability to deal with ambiguity easily, solve for both service level problems and the challenges of minute-to-minute change will be necessary
·
Ability to make independent, sound decisions
·
Strong command of Excel and other MS Office programs
·
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
·
Experience reviewing and analyzing process defect data and the development of corresponding countermeasures
·
Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking key performance metrics including return on investment
·
Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
·
Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts
·
Travel up to 75% required

·
Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
