Amazon’s World Wide Operations & Customer Service Team, the group behind the technology that gets your package to your door, is looking for skilled recruiters to join our recruiting events team.

As Technical Recruiters we are dedicated to enhancing our organization’s ability to profile, attract, and convert highly-talented prospects into solid candidates. The recruiting events team works with all of the business groups within our organization. These business groups have an appetite to source talent around the globe giving us the opportunity to travel. It’s a rewarding job and a lot of fun too!

Recruiters in this role play an essential part in tracking industry events, technology trends, and changes within the employment landscape which may impact our existing best practices and/or short- and long-term talent generation strategies. As part of this effort, we contribute to special projects in areas such as market mapping, market intelligence, talent community relationship building, prospect attraction, and organization branding as it relates to recruiting events. We are the subject matter experts in prospecting techniques and tools used for information retrieval and data extraction, web-scraping, continuous process improvement, process automation, and customer relationship management.

As a change agent, we develop a broad and deep knowledge of the technologies currently in use by our client teams. We have boundless curiosity and lean toward being a “techie,” understanding how programming languages, platforms, hardware, and technologies all come together to drive our mission critical and globally-distributed solutions is what we strive for.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent Experience) and 4 + years of experience recruiting including technical recruiting experience
· Experience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research.
· A demonstrable expertise in ad-hoc, complex web search string generation (i.e., optimized use of search engine-specific Boolean operators across all leading web data, social, and search platforms). Proficiency with traditional web sourcing techniques such as site x-ray searching, flip searching, location specific searching, targeted community searching, etc.
· Prior experience building pipelines of external tech or industry communities (e.g., open-source communities, user groups, etc.).
· Good knowledge of social network platforms, online communities, conferences, and other potential sourcing pools used to isolate technical talent (e.g., github, Stack Overflow, Top Coder, etc.).
· Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships.
· A broad understanding of the standards and trends in software engineering across a variety of domains (e.g., distributed systems, mobile engineering, front-end web engineering, databases, etc.).
· The ability to create a strong, collegial, and supportive partnership with other recruiters, recruiting business partners, our client teams, and the greater technology community from which we will derive our pipeline for future engineering talent.
· MS Office – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· 30% travel required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Consulting skills demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as a team leader/mentor and member.
· Full lifecycle recruiting experience – cradle to grave; from unique candidate sources to offer close
· Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision.
· Create and maintain strategic recruiting plans with clearly defined objectives, desired outcomes, and a calendar of events
· Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, must pursue conscious cost-containment efforts in recruiting, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer.
· Possess analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team. Leadership experience mentoring recruiters and coordinators.
· Solid communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills.
· Ability to execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.
