Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in object oriented programming language working with Java, C++ and/or Python for the development of web applications.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical account management/customer-facing role with enterprise clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Deep knowledge of internet technologies, protocols and application delivery for web-based applications.
  • Excellent Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python or Perl) skills.
  • Excellent account management and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and effective analytical skills, combined with a sense of ownership and a proactive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a track record of handling multiple customers and streams of work.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be a key technical contributor in integrating our payment platform with the financial services infrastructure in key markets, including banks, national payment rails, global, and local card schemes, and other financial services providers. You will work closely with key external stakeholders including financial institutions, government regulators, and innovative fin tech companies alongside our core payments product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to grow and scale our global payments business. Payments represents new opportunities for Google as a key enabler of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the technical community in global payments platform providers, open source, banking, regulatory bodies, and Google Payments team to provide technical expertise, architecture, and technology solutions.
  • Drive partner initiatives and projects through the entire project lifecycle, managing project schedules, gaining visibility into partner development times, accelerating their schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
  • Manage the technical aspects of a partner’s integration by providing the necessary documentation and technical guidance. Develop and operate appropriate technology infrastructure for on-boarding partners on to the platform, deliver blueprints and accelerator methodologies, developer tools, etc.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams to contribute to product roadmap, feature prioritization, and other strategic go-to-market initiatives.
