Job Description
The VP of Enterprise Modernization will be responsible for leading the strategic development, planning and execution of the cross-business unit, cross-functional initiative to deliver long-term efficiency and effectiveness opportunities that will deliver a step-change in how CVS Health operate as an enterprise. The role will serve as a key driver of this effort as the day-to-day lead, and work to advance the overall effort through the enterprise. The Vice President will manage a team of full-time employees and consultants and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise.

The Vice President role is critical to the successful growth of the enterprise and will drive new innovation that will have a profound impact on the future direction of the company overall and will demonstrate a proven ability to lead and execute within complex organizations and possess a deep understanding of the health care and retail landscape, cost management practices and levers, emerging trends and capabilities, as well as investment and funding themes.

* Work with senior executives and business partners at all levels of the organization to influence and identify, pressure-test and validate opportunities; build detailed business cases for opportunities; and support the execution of the highest-priority opportunities. Own communication plan across opportunities.

* Provide regular updates to EVP, CVS Health and Business Unit leadership. Develop materials for management and executive committees, and board of directors’ meetings.

* Build an opportunity-specific and balanced team inclusive of CVS Health and Aetna colleagues, and consultants for an interim period. Responsible for fiscal management including the development and management of a budget, and active monitoring of consultant spend.

* Define operating cadence, governance, and calendar of activities with key milestones. Address data requests, stakeholder relationships, roadblocks, and questions on an ongoing basis.

Location: Woonsocket RI, Hartford CT, New York City or Boston MA preferred.

Required Qualifications
* 10+ Years of Business, Strategy and/or Corporate Development experience within the healthcare or retail industries.
* Possesses intellectual curiosity and has the confidence to challenge the status quo and embrace and champion change.
* High-level of skill and experience required in process definition, often in ambiguous situations.
* Strong project management, communications, and executive presentation skills.
* High level of confidence and resilience, executive presence, and the ability to operate across many functions in the organization.
* Highly effective at managing both up and down in a matrixed organization and translating complex programs to executive management as well as team members.
