Strategy & Planning:-
1) Understand and manage the requirements/expectations of the organization, prepare budget (capex) for the plant and seek approval from Director.
2) Formulate the working plan for the plant based on inputs from the Sales manager, cascade the plan/plant goals to the team members, and monitor their performance.
3) Submit required reports to the Director and seek advice on critical parameters /issues.

Production Management:-
1) Drive production targets as per plan and quality parameters, while maintaining the laid down safety standards.
2) Ensure smooth functioning of the plant and address critical escalations (e.g. breakdown of critical machines and resolve critical escalations related to manufacturing of products).
3) Monitor availability of material, infrastructure, manpower and equipment for production process and review and approve new equipment’s and machine purchase.
4) Ensure that manufacturing operations run without any delays and all delivery guidelines are adhered to Monitor and ensure maintenance of optimum inventory levels as per plant goals.
5) Monitor plant maintenance, machine condition monitoring and check on preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance reports to ensure maximum machine availability.
6) Provide required technical support to the team and monitor consumption of spares and consumables.
7) Ensure creation of detailed SOPs for running the plant effectively.

Compliance & Control:-
1) Participate in audit processes for plant production for regulatory audits like TPM, TQM, ISO, FSC, GMP, and HACCP.
2) Monitor and review compliance of manufacturing processes/work environment for all regulatory, safety, and statutory requirements.
3) Liaise with critical local and statutory authorities for required compliances and relationship management.
4) Ensure implementation of ISO in the plant and ensure for necessary registration in Standards accreditations.

Process Improvements:-
1) Benchmark the best practices and analyse ideas generated by employees to improve existing processes and ensure cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
2) Responsible for implementation of best process practices (6 SIGMA, SMWT, 5S, TPM, TQM, etc.,) in the plant.

Safety & Environment:-
1) Monitor and ensure training of subordinates and employees in safety & plant emergency management.
2) Responsible for overall maintenance of plant work environment and upkeep Implement & improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.

Vendor Management:-
1) Manage critical vendor relationships, negotiate on price and terms of the contract, and ensure quality standards by vendors and timely delivery.
2) Finalize new vendors as per the guidance of the Director and ensure cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.

Goods Dispatch:-
1) Oversee dispatch of finished goods as per dispatch plan received from Sales Manager.
2) Monitor and ensure accurate and timely shipments to ensure labour cost per tonne is minimized.
3) Review and track proper segregation/coding/marking/stacking/packing as per schedule and norms Monitor and ensure loading of finished goods into container and ensure no leakage.

Capacity Building:-
1) Understand the growth plans of the organization, plan, and take complete ownership for the building/expansion/modification of the plant.
2) Identify new methods or process technology to improve plant operations (e.g. tools, equipment or introduction of improved processes).
3) Prepare and plan the plant budget and submit to Director

People Management:-
1) Finalize manpower plans for the plant as per the guidance of the Director and participate in the recruitment of team members.
2) Set KRAs for the team members, conduct performance reviews for direct reports, and give developmental feedback to them.
3) Provide subordinates with guidance, mentoring, coaching, training and required growth opportunities to ensure their development Motivate and recognize talent and encourage them to excel.
