Mr. Stevenson has significant experience in various areas of financial services including investment banking, investment management and leasing sectors, with extensive executive management knowledge and experience, across a number of international jurisdictions. This business and management experience covers primarily emerging economies and Mr. Stevenson holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PgD) with Merit, specialising in Business in Emerging Markets, awarded by the University of Liverpool, in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Stevenson has also been responsible for managing the execution of various corporate acquisitions and the integration of the businesses post acquisition, to ensure implementation of common business processes whilst adhering to legislative and compliance requirements. Responsibilities also included ensuring implementation of industry best practice as a result of the acquisitions. As a result of these responsibilities, significant cost savings and increased productivity were also achieved. Mr. Stevenson has also acted as an advisor to certain emerging market governments, central banks and clearing systems, and during Mr. Stevenson’s career in China, was involved in city and provincial government trade delegations, and Mr. Stevenson participated in the State Visit of Chinese President Xi to America in 2015. Mr. Stevenson has also made occasional appearances on Reuters, Bloomberg and China Central Television as a “market expert.” Additionally, Mr. Stevenson speaks at conferences on subject matters including, cross cultural business integration, financial services etc.
