As an Award-Winning Communication Leader with global experience across several Fortune 100 companies, I counsel leaders, direct complex cross-functional initiatives, build strong working relationships, develop and motivate teams, spearhead innovation, and lead large-scale change projects. My ability to drive connections, make the complex simple, improve and innovate, and create an emotional connection with audiences leads to greater trust, engagement, collaboration and performance.

In these roles, I've led multi-level teams that were responsible for enterprise publications, intranets and internal social media, over 300 events a year, and oversight of corporate video and media production, while also serving as a primary liaison group to Media Relations and others.

These teams produced strong results, including raising the awareness of business strategies, increasing participation in HR initiatives and other programs, driving the integration of cultures and processes after a merger, and producing large-scale leadership events that achieved high satisfaction ratings and incorporated innovative new approaches and technologies, This work brought prestigious communication awards, including the Gold, Silver and Bronze Quills from the International Association of Business Communicators.

In addition to being a communication leader, I'm also an author (“Where Are We Going So Fast?”), conference speaker, guest lecturer for DePaul University, and an adjunct professor for Loyola University of Chicago’s School of Communication and a member of their Dean's Communication Board of Advisors. My background also includes being a writer for the "Chicago Tribune" and Pioneer Press, podcaster and blogger for Chicago Tribune Media Group’s “ChicagoNow” platform. I also am the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for "The Groove," a blues/funk/rock band.
