So...what does a Lori Miller do, exactly, and how can she help you?

Well, I'm a mental health counselor, as my headline makes clear. But before that I spent 20+ years in the corporate world in marketing and communications, across three industries: retail, healthcare, and energy.

I did everything from web design (coded by hand, thank you) to executive speech and presentation writing to graphic design to photography and videography to event planning to social media.

Yep, it was a mashup of skills but it was a lot of fun. I got to work with super creative teams and good people.

But I also got to know firsthand the challenges with what work seems to have become today.

The burnout, anxiety, pressure, stress, fear of change, toxic environments, leadership challenges, and the struggle to perform in spite of it all.

This makes me a bit unique as a therapist because I've experienced what many of my clients are dealing with at work.

I get "how work is."

And I know you can find ways to cope with your challenges at work.

Better, you can find ways to spark positive change and move forward. You may just need to find a different perspective.
