Want to know how to answer “Why do you want to work for this company?” in an INTERVIEW?

Like this….. The hiring manager is looking for you to demonstrate the following:

1. You have good knowledge of the company.

2. You understand the role based on the Job Description and Job Requirements.

3. You have some insight into their workplace culture.

4. You know your own qualifications, skills and experience, and recognize how they make you a good fit for the role and the company culture.

How do you demonstrate this?

By thoroughly researching the company.

By reviewing both the company and employee testimonials on Glassdoor.

By ensuring that you know your resume inside out.

By cross-referencing your Core Competencies and Achievements to the job requirements.

By knowing who your interviewers and potential direct reports are.

And yes, this takes PREPARATION! Saying “I need a job”, “I want the money” or “It seems like a nice place to work” will NOT suffice as an answer.

This question is relevant to candidates of every level. Why? Because nobody wants to hire anybody who lacks interest. You made it to the interview, now convince them why you desire them and why they should hire YOU!
