Job Description
We are looking for a software engineer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, as well as translating our business needs or the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce the visual elements of the application.
Responsibilities
- Building interactive consumer data from multiple systems and RESTfully abstract to the UI through a Node.js backend
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements
- Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application
- Address and improve any technical issues
- Collaborate well with engineers, researchers, and data implementation specialists to design and create advanced, elegant and efficient systems
JobRequirements:
Education:
Ideal candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. Relevant prior experience in software development can be demonstrated in absence of a computer science major.
Experience:
Minimum of one years in a software Development.
Skills and Qualifications
- Expertise in writing JavaScript code.
- Experience with working on NodeJS.
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jade, EJS etc.
- Experience with working on BackBoneJS/Ember/Angular.
- Good knowledge of MongoDB and experience in working with Mongoose.
- Good knowledge in jQuery
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience with Git (optional)
- Experience with NPM/Bower (optional)
- Experience with using GruntJS (optional)
- Expertise in Unix Bash/Zsh (optional)
