The Director of Digital CX/UI will work closely with the Vice President of Global Brand Design and the Digital Team. They will be responsible for creating satisfying and compelling experiences for users of products with a focus on reshaping the customer experience to maximize conversions.  They will be a well-rounded professional who connects the dots between business needs, innovation and great design. The individual will be competent in all facets of the design process and they will be willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work themselves and will be able to get skeptical colleagues to say yes by simply explaining how they arrived at a design solution and how and why it benefits the business. They will be exceptionally talented and skilled in interaction and information architecture design. They will implement and infuse the global brand story across all CX/UI experiences and provide inspirational leadership and design direction across across a complex and matrixed organization.

The Digital CX/UI Designer will report to the Vice President of Global Brand Design. The role will be located in the company’s headquarters in Dallas, TX.

Core Responsibilities

  • Independently manage multiple large scale projects with the ability to adapt to change when needed
  • Build exceptional relationships and work closely with the Digital Design Team
  • Infuse the AT&T Brand story into all CX/UI initiatives
  • Drive a user experience from start-to-finish that delivers results and connects emotionally
  • Deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions
  • Optimize existing user interface designs
  • Keep the team formed about current and emerging CX/UI trends
  • Develop internal and external design capabilities to deliver best in class design
  • Inspire external agency partners and internal design resources to create proprietary and distinctive brand assets
  • Drive innovation and elevate the product experience internally and externally
  • Provide objective support for design decisions leveraging user experience knowledge
 
Profile

The Director of Digital CX/UI Design will have 10+ years of experience as a Design Lead or Creative Director in both a major corporation, design, marketing or advertising agency. They will be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, After Effects, Fireworks, Illustrator and Photoshop).

The individual will have demonstrated good user-centered design practices and have an eye for detail. They will have a strong commercial understanding as to how great design enables stronger business results and an ability to understand how to apply business strategy and branding issues with user needs and technological constraints. They will have worked closely with creative leadership and cross-functional teams and managed and led the development of complex CX/UI design initiatives. They are adept at delivering clear feedback to their team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
 
The role requires an undergraduate degree in computer science or related discipline.
