Job Description
The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Electrical Design Integration Manager to join the VC-25B Program within Boeing’s Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) division. The Electrical Design Integration (EDI) Manager will lead a multi-functional team that will be responsible for the wire design, installation and integration on VC-25B. This role includes wire installation design, integration, planning and analysis and provides support to wiring fabrication and aircraft wiring installation, test and delivery for the VC-25B Program. This first-line (Level K) leader opportunity is based in San Antonio, TX.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Primary design responsibility that includes wire design, installation design and integration
  • Providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Ensuring aircraft certification and Electromagnetic Effects compliance
  • Acquiring resources for projects and processes, providing technical management of engineering Statements of Work (SOW) and leading process improvements
  • Managing cost and schedule performance, including Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities
  • Interfacing with customers, program teams, suppliers and senior & executive management
  • Implementation of any new electrical design tools and processes
  • Support to wire harness fabrication suppliers selection, setup and technical support
  • Selection, development, management and motivation of employees performing engineering, technical and project management activities
  • Developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures and setting operational goals
  • Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Qualifications
Work Authorization:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

**This position is contingent upon clearance verification and program / customer concurrence.**

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret / SSBI U.S. Security Clearance (Post-Start)
  • 5+ years’ experience with wiring installation design
  • 5+ years’ experience with wire installation design tools & processes
    • Please state tool familiarity in resume
    • Education / training and / or work experience using CATIA V5 REQUIRED
  • 5+ years’ experience working on aerospace systems
  • Domestic and / or international travel may be required
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree or higher in an engineering classification
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
  • Communication and project management skills 
  • Experience with Commercial or Commercial Derivative aircraft (i.e. 747, VC-25, C-32) HIGHLY PREFERRED
