POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Finance Support Specialist, this person will Performs recurring and non-recurring Accounting activities for the collection, processing, recording and distribution of financial data. Responds to moderately complex customer inquiries related to financial transactions requiring explanation or interpretation. Performs other duties to support financial activities using knowledge of established guidelines, policies, and procedures. Works under limited supervision.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

  • Expense Reports – verification of documents and archiving expense reports, direct communication with employees regarding missing documents, undelivered expense reports, verification of the correctness of approved reports
  • Fixed Assets – preparation the list of Fixed Assets, printing OT and labels for fixed assets, archiving documentation related to fixed assets, communication with IT & Facilities Team in order to speed up labelling process, support of the GL team in current tasks (cooperation in the field of fixed assets), providing information on changes FA’s users to the GL team
  • Support Project Accounting  and other payroll related activities
  • Archive AP & AR invoices and documentation in GL at the end of month
  • Prepare statements for banking and Surveys
  • Prepare data and documents for the audit
  • Prepare files for payroll processing
  • Reading legislation to support correct  treatment of VAT in expense reports, invoices, etc.
  • Prepare of correspondence, sending letters to the tax office and to suppliers, as well as control of incoming documents

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of accounting theory, concepts, and principles (e.g., Financial Accounting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Knowledge of how to implement/maintain/document effective internal controls and processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with accounting system requirements and company internal control guidelines and requirements.
  • Ability to identify and resolve accounting system issues.
  • Ability to support internal/external auditors and provide assistance regarding implementation and problem resolution.
  • Ability to support development and deployment of accounting systems and tools.

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication skills

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIECNE

Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
