Job Description

Boeing is seeking qualified candidates for Financial Operations and Affordability Analyst openings to support the iconic Presidential Aircraft (VC-25B) in San Antonio, TX. This position is for a Financial Operations and Affordability Analyst in their early career (Level 2).

As part of the finance team, you will be an integral advisor to leadership. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to drive financial decisions and business performance on a high visibility program. You will interface with engineering, financial, and program leadership to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains performance measurement baselines (including earned value management (EVM)), resource forecasts, and Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts and Integrated Product Teams (IPT) with guidance;
  • Build relationships and coordinates regularly with finance leaders and stakeholders to ensure accurate expense projections, monitor cost for accuracy and financial compliance, and generate/brief weekly reports to IPT leaders;
  • Collect, analyze and review quantitative data (from multiple sources) to report financial performance and trends with basic root cause variance analysis and mitigation recommendations to address key drivers of performance and develop corrective action plans as necessary with CAM & IPT leaders and finance leadership;
  • Identifies and quantifies opportunities and/or risks to achieving performance objectives. Recommends & develops basic business cases and necessary action plans for strategic and tactical decision-making to achieving those opportunities or mitigating the risks;
  • Collaborate on Affordability efforts and special assignments to drive performance on the program. Demonstrate Project Management skills and abilities, partnering with Engineering and Manufacturing on Enterprise Initiatives;
  • Assist in managing the program affordability targets and reporting progress to reaching targets;
  • Develops presentations and presents financial information to various levels of management, communicating effectively with IPT leaders, and delivering briefings in a clear, concise manner demonstrating understanding of operational and financial performance;
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to handle competing priorities in a fast paced environment;
  • Assist with continuous development and implementation of projects that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability;
  • Make recommendations on program structure and tool utilization. This would include Excel based process enhancements to better assist business analysts in their daily jobs;
  • Leads or supports special ad hoc exercises/projects/teams at the request of leadership;
  • Work independently and with a geographically disbursed team

Qualifications
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • 1 or more years of full-time experience in a related finance position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Estimating, or Financial Planning;
  • Advanced Excel skills using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters and linking worksheets;
  • Demonstrated experience working both independently and in team environments;
  • Demonstrated experience developing presentations and presenting financial information to various levels of management;
  • Willing and able to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial budgeting and control;
  • Experience using CSPR, COGNOS and CLAS;
  • Must be highly motivated self-starter and self-directed learner with a creative mind, and high attention to detail.

 

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
