The Role
This role within the company is very unique. The right candidate will be professionally trained in cabin and passenger safety and aircraft emergency evacuation. As you travel, you embrace the Netflix culture of Freedom and Responsibility, allowing you to operate with little direction and a lot of self motivation. You also demonstrate the independent judgement, discretion and outstanding customer service skills necessary to provide a seamless experience for our passengers.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that Netflix Aviation’s goals for safety, security and highest quality service are continually met.
  • Responsible for the welfare and safety of passengers on board the aircraft
  • Greets all passengers and confirms the passenger manifest is correct and passports are verified, if instructed.
  • Advanced planning and trip preparation.
  • Responsible for the purchase and stocking of all cabin supplies and sourcing catering from bakeries, markets, restaurants and caterers.
  • Proper cleaning and laundering of all aircraft cabin linens and serving ware, general cleaning of the cabin, galley, lavatories.
  • Coordination with other crew members to review trip details
  • Professional representation of Netflix Aviation at all times while performing the duties of the position.
  • Knowledgeable and competent when handling normal, abnormal and emergency procedures
  • Knowledgeable of the location and proper operation of all on-board firefighting, emergency and life saving equipment  and the operation of all audio visual and telecommunications equipment.
  • Conducts a briefing of safety and emergency procedures prior to each flight and ensures that the cabin is secure prior to taxi, takeoff and landing.
  • Performs pre-flight inspection of all cabin, galley and cockpit emergency equipment
  • Responsible to the PIC of a scheduled trip for all assigned duties and reports to the Flight Attendant Manager and Head of Aviation.

Requirements and Additional Skills:

  • 3 years of full time Corporate Aviation Experience
  • Ability to work effectively as an integral part of a crew.
  • Ability to thrive within a team of Flight Attendants.
  • FACTS, Flight Safety or equivalent FAA certified training program is required.
  • First Aid training and ability to respond to in-flight medical situations.
  • Trained and Certified to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and in the usage of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
  • Proficient with all aircraft emergency equipment and knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of FAA and customs regulations.
  • Knowledgeable and trained about safe food handling and preparation procedures (Serve Safe).
  • Strong culinary/fine dining experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work a varied work schedule, often requiring weekend and holiday work days and extended travel periods.
  • Ability to travel as needed for international and domestic flights.
  • Must be able to assist with purchasing aircraft stock prior to trips, ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs when loading and stocking the aircraft, capable of long periods of time standing, able to help with baggage loading as necessary.
  • Availability to work ground duty days, in our Burbank hanger, provisioning aircraft and stockroom, attending team meetings.
