Description of the job

A vacancy for Instrumentation Engineer for flight test (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join EVIC, the Test Instrumentation Components department.

Within the Flight Test Centre, you will be in charge of developing and supporting instrumentation in video, image processing and trajectory systems…
You will be part of a dynamic and open minded team of 16 engineers and experts deeply involved in innovation and research projects looking for the latest technologies.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Driving projects and developments of new instrumentations
• Integrating, validating and supporting new test means
• Ensuring maturity on flight test means
• Seeking for continuous improvement and simplification
• Fostering innovation and new technologies from customer market (Video, machine learning, GNSS, hyperspectral, IoT, Wireless, Harvesting, BigData…)

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Educated to Master’s degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical Engineering or IT
• System development and integration
• Digital electronic
• Interest in new technologies as Computer vision, IOT, 5G, Geolocalisation, drone
• System & mechanical design
• Project management
• Data analysis (Mathlab, python, C+, raspberry…)
• Advance level of English
