You will directly contribute to company’s success by maintaining an efficient banking structure to support its operations through overseeing operational and strategic projects. You will support aspects of Treasury Operations activities incl. interco lending, cash investments, trade finance and hedging. You will also assist with the development of cash management banking solutions for all business segments of the company and support the cash forecasting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check and Negotiate Letters of credit to acceptable level to ensure payment on documentation submission to the bank working to the banking practices of UCP 600
  • Maintain Bank relationships to ensure we have sufficient level of escalation and contacts to receive and negotiate documents under letter of credit
  • Assist in the preparation of documents through Trade Technologies
  • Liaise with internal, Sales, Customer Care and Business leaders to ensure LC’s are negotiated received and aligned with our banking practices to ensure prompt and clear payment
  • Authorize the release of orders on receipt of workable Letters of Credit
  • Evaluate the Risks on a country by country basis making sure letters are requested with instruction to Confirm where there is a high sovereign risk or Identified Customer Risk
  • Maintain and edit all transactions on Trade Technologies to provide correct Data for reporting purposes
  • Weekly contact with SBU’s to ensure all outstanding letters of Credit are being worked correctly
  • Provide Trade Finance Solutions on an Adhoc Basis where Letters of credit cannot be agreed or negotiated successfully to ensure Honeywell has minimal risk
  • Prepare and work with Sales in the required areas  to Raise required Bank guarantees as requested
  • Ongoing Process improvement in all SBU’s enhancing Processes and Procedures going forward
  • Collaboration for LC Team with sharing of information on the Shared Team Site.
  • Work with the C2C team in credit related activities.
  • Prepare Credit Approval Cases and provide recommendations for approval to Senior Leaders
  • Meet assigned timelines and ensure documentation requirements are met per the business and audit requirements
  • Working in conjunction with C2C team and Credit Managers, responsible for ensuring credit limit and order release process are followed in compliance with existing policies. Required timely escalation to business when business deterioration is identified.
  • Co-ordinate with Sr. Risk Analyst, C2C & Sales Managers to understand customers’ accounts and their pay habit and recommend Trade Finance solutions
  • Conducts business in a manner that promotes both internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Cover for Team Colleagues as Required

 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
  • Must have Letter of Credit experience 
  • Must have UCP 600 experience 
  • Solid related experience, preferable in accounting or accounts receivable –Trade management, LOC etc
