RSA Conference (RSAC) is the leading, and largest, educational forum for cyber security professionals in the world; professionals tasked with setting the agenda, meeting the challenges, and creating solutions for the industry. RSA Conference has annual events in San Francisco and Singapore, and also runs smaller ad-hoc events in APJ and EMEA.

The RSAC Marketing Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day management of RSAC’s marketing automation system and email marketing operations.  He or she will manage RSAC’s webcasts and podcasts and be involved in on-site live broadcasting, including live-streaming and video recordings.  The Marketing Analyst will also manage miscellaneous activities to support the team.  The successful candidate must have marketing and marketing operations skills, have an analytical mind, a keen interest in technology, work well as part of a large team, and have project management skills.

They manage the development, implementation and coordination of cutting-edge internet marketing strategies while driving merchandising product placement, pathing, promotion and content to optimize conversion and consideration. The team also leads on campaign management, product launch, online merchandising and end-to-end conversion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day responsibility for RSAC’s marketing automation system, IBM Watson Campaign Automation (formerly SilverPop), and email marketing operations.  Responsibilities include:
    • Scheduling all email campaigns
    • Data segmentation
    • Building, testing and monitoring campaign performance
    • Reporting & analytics
    • Working with RSAC’s technology vendors to improve data feeds between registration and data warehousing systems
    • Identifying and adhering to marketing automation best-practices
    • Managing user access
    • Issuing and managing support tickets with IBM Support
    • Database: Lead management, data imports & normalize data fields
    • Managing opt-in/out preferences
  • Content, CMS & Editing
    • Webcasts: coordinate scheduling and build live-events in webcast system; set-up and complete rehearsals with speakers; build CMS pages for monthly virtual sessions and ad-hoc webcasts; edit and publish final recording of all webcasts; send out performance summaries
    • Podcasts: Work with external podcast consultant to obtain edited version of podcasts and transcripts and publish them on the RSAC podcast website page; send out performance summaries
    • Schedule, record, edit and publish session “Quick Looks” for all events; edit/publish ad-hoc video or audio recordings
  • Livestreaming (for APJ & Unplugged events): work with on-site AV teams on set-up for keynote and session live-streams and assist with live-streaming when required
  • Broadcast Alley Management (US Conference): oversee drop-in booth schedule; manage sponsors
  • Miscellaneous: Monitor RSAC’s information alias email Inbox; manage ad-hoc reporting requests, maintain RSA Conference archives; monitor job board submissions and publish jobs on an on-going basis

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a high-tech environment
  • Knowledge of marketing automation systems and email marketing operations
  • CMS experience
  • Analytic skills
  • A thirst for tech!
  • Is collaborative and a team player.  Ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be very responsive
  • Strong attention to detail while also understanding the big picture
  • Basic project management skills
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%-15% of time)
