Dana Incorporated is seeking to fill the position of Operations Manager in Crossville, TN.

The incumbent works in an industrial automotive environment.  The facility is the main Distribution Center for Dana’s aftermarket business.  The emphasis is part availability (customer fill rate) and supplier performance with minimum inventory investment and maximum customer service levels. This environment requires a strong knowledge of material flow and stocking strategies based on multiple inputs including: lead time, forecasting and supplier performance. The role includes responsibility for Continuous Improvement which includes identifying ways/methods for improving the overall customer service level and financial performance of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, manage and control the department budget that meets or exceeds plant goals and objectives

• Maintain and manage a trained, qualified and capable staff able to execute the processes, procedures and responsibilities on the shop floor
• Direct and manage the overall shop floor operations of the facility

• Directly supervise all the shift supervisors
• Identify and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities for all manufacturing operations

Education and/or Experience:
– A degree in related field and/or equivalent professional work experience in Manufacturing or Distribution

– 3-5 years’ experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing and aftermarket environment is a plus
– Kaizen Team leader and or Lean Manufacturing, Knowledge Lean and Six Sigma Processes
– Must have excellent customer service attitude and people skills
– Exceptional time management and planning skills
– Must maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with people at all levels of the organization
– Must have excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
– Must have strong skills and abilities to handle multiple task and responsibilities at one time
