Role Summary:

This Plant Manager role will be responsible for leading plant manufacturing operations for the Long Island NY facility and the Pompano Beach site . If you have an entrepreneurial mindset and previous experience in a manufacturing or supply chain leadership role this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will have full P&L responsibility for this site that produces power conversion products and cockpit control assemblies and panels primarily for our military business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Continually improve key plant metrics
  • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • Establish and direct plant policies and procedures
  • Meet plant production and quality goals
  • Have a strong focus on employee relations
  • Foster well-trained and motivated staff
  • Select, train and develop plant supervisory and administrative staff
  • Ensure sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments
  • Be responsible for driving continuous improvements in factory yield
  • Drive Product Quality and Lean to ensure that internal business metrics are met
  • Develop & create training plans to maximize workforce capability
  • Establish all production schedules and meet customer’s delivery and quality expectations
  • Drive operations team towards execution of Business Goals using Lean Manufacturing methodology
  • Provide leadership for executing New Product Introductions, with strong collaboration with engineering design
  • Monitor & improve cost productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality & compliant manner
  • Schedule and conduct plant meetings; foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employees
  • Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, inventory and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in a manufacturing or supply chain role (Including leadership experience)
  • Previous experience in lean manufacturing or six sigma

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven leadership skills (experience successfully managing people / projects / issues)
  • Master’s Degree in Manufacturing / Business / Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Six sigma certification or equivalent quality certification
  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels across the plant
  • Demonstrated ability to set and manage competing priorities to drive key deliverables in a fast paced & dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to shape and drive culture including safety mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to bring individual leaders and employees together to drive for collective goals
  • Demonstrated ability to work across a matrix organization and leverage resources within the broader business
  • Demonstrated ability to foster healthy debate and manage through difficult conversations
  • Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, variable cost productivity, and fulfillment metrics, quality systems, cost systems, and fulfillment metrics, and procedures
  • Demonstrated capability in employee relations
  • Demonstrated leadership, energizing teams and project management
  • Lean trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex, global, unique and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize, plan and execute important business and supply chain initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability able to influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Clear, strategic, and critical thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans
