Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Product Management experience
  • Software development experience in embedded systems, telecommunications, IOT, Smart TV/Home, and/or automotive infotainment industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building and shipping Android OS, apps and consumer hardware.
  • Understanding of Android OS and developer experiences.
  • Knowledgeable across multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, User Interface (UI), sales, customer support, finance or marketing.
  • Passionate about cars and automotive technology.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.

The Android Auto team collaborate with vehicle manufacturers to develop and deliver on this massive opportunity, building on an proven embedded platform to create a leading Assistant-powered, navigation, entertainment, and communication vehicle system, which will be delivered to specialized people-moving devices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall product strategy and roadmap for your feature area.
  • Build and scale an emerging business, and create a lasting impact in the automotive industry.
  • Contribute to team ramp-up and lead product roadmap.
  • Work with Engineers, Designers, UX Researchers, external customers, and partners to implement and deliver key elements of the Android Auto platform and Google Automotive Services.
