Description

As our Extrusion Production Manager, you’ll provide leadership and direction to drive employee engagement, continuous improvement and world class manufacturing practices. You’ll plan ahead to monitor and oversee department operations 24/7, providing direction to meet production demand requirements and ensure on-time product delivery.  This opportunity also involves partnering with key stakeholders to create and maintain production standards and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production and quality targets. You’ll ensure targets are met or countermeasures are taken to improve deficiencies. You’ll also provide daily leadership and help them set appropriate work-related goals. In addition, you’ll complete and deliver employee reviews; establish developmental opportunities; and work closely with the Training and Safety departments to identify training needs for supervisors, leads and production associates, ensuring these initiatives are being achieved.

Qualifications

Strong demonstrated leadership
Ability to make sound business decisions
Knowledge of manufacturing environment
Ability to mentor/develop and coach supervisory staff
Strong people management skills, ability to motivate, engage and coach all levels of employees
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Knowledge of standard Environmental Health and Safety practices, a plus 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to conduct formal presentations to staff members and management
Strong team building skills, with a concentration on employee development and growth
Ability to drive change within a production environment
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
Strong project management skills
