 Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Manufacturing West Virginia Quality Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Quality Engineering Specialist.

The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor and assure product quality.

 

Reporting to the Manager, the person in this role will support the Quality Control department’s objective to monitor and assure product quality.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Facilitate problem solving for external defects (vehicle plant defects)
  • Facilitate/lead problem solving for internal defects
  • Support supplier problem solving efforts
  • Performance test & durability testing for new products & investigations
  • Process Change (PCR) Implementation Quality Problem (QIR/QPR) Issuance and follow-up
  • Working with suppliers to facilitate supplier problem solving and warranty
  • Supporting/facilitating vehicle plant defect investigation & problem solving
  • Develop inspection standards for production

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent professional work experience
  • Demonstrated problem solving thinking; (TBP) Toyota Problem Solving
  • Demonstrated automotive quality engineering project and/or mass production support
  • Experience as a quality engineer in an automotive industry
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

Added bonus if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering
  • Toyota Quality Engineer Experience
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills
  • New Model Launch Experience
