At Coursera, our Talent team furthers our mission by hiring talented individuals into impactful roles across the organization. As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will support our hiring efforts to build out our second development office in Toronto and make sure our office is running smoothly. Responsibilities to expect will be scheduling phone screens and onsite interviews (travel arrangements and reimbursement as necessary), developing rapport with candidates for follow-up on next steps, and overall office management and functionality. In this role, you will work closely with recruiters and our engineering manager to ensure an outstanding experience for candidates. We welcome your critical eye and advise on improving our hiring process.
This is a fast-paced technology startup, and success in this role will be defined by an ability to prioritize, organize, and execute in a multitasked environment, bringing in candidates with a sense of urgency, and identifying opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency.

Your responsibilities:

  • Schedule a high volume of candidate interviews for phone screens, Skype or Hangouts, and onsite interviews with a sense of urgency and send confirmation emails
  • Provide timely follow-up on talent pipelines by managing our Applicant Tracking System and updating candidates via phone and email, monitor incoming messages/voicemails during business hours
  • Communicate professionally and tactfully, treating all candidates with the highest level of confidentiality and customer service
  • Review, critique, proof, and post job descriptions in line with our talent voice and brand
  • Participate and execute on recruiting initiatives driven by Talent, PeopleOps, and Engineering
  • Make sure office needs are fulfilled so business runs smoothly!

Your skills:

  • Interest and curiosity in recruiting or operations role with a main focus on scheduling via Google Calendar and Gmail
  • Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, highly self-driven and detail oriented
  • Discretion and sound judgment, with the ability to interact with all levels of candidates and Coursera employees
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
