Renewables and Compliance Trader

Responsible for supply and marketing of all LPG’s and Intermediates for the Monroe refinery, as well as marketing all the Resid and CSO produced by Monroe. Position will manage over $500 million in commodities on an annual basis

Responsibilities Include:
Identify and execute physical trades (bulk purchases/sales, exchange, etc.) to supply new and existing customers
Manage risk/exposure of physical products through execution of financial instruments (e.g., futures, swaps, spreads, etc.)
Coordinate product logistics and operations to support business operations
Develop strategy to optimize product streams during times of market swings
Work closely with Optimization and Operations groups in an effort to market products in the most efficient and economical manner
Build external customer and supply relationships
Understand the market dynamics and impact various commodity prices

Job requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or related field. MBA preferred. 5-10 years of experience in Contract Negotiations, Energy Management, Supply Logistics, Finance or other highly analytical experience is preferred. Candidate must possess strong analytical skills with an excellent understanding of market fundamentals and market relationships. In addition, the candidate should have a high level of initiative in managing his/her workload, including identifying critical business issues for analysis and potential structuring projects. Must have a deep understanding of market risk, pricing and structure. Previous trading experience or its equivalent is required.
