A strategically important part of our charter is to build and drive adoption across a portfolio of self-service, cost per click advertising products to enable head to tail advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. Examples of products already in the market are Sponsored Products and Amazon Marketing Services. Our team is tasked with making it easy for sellers and vendors to advertise their products, thereby increasing the visibility of their products, which also helps Amazon customers discover more selection—a win-win!

We are looking for an Email Marketing Manager to join our team to drive Seller and Vendor awareness and adoption across self-service advertising products through marketing automation and email strategy. We are looking for someone to own email communications program end to end, from ideation to execution and measurement. The Email Marketing Manager will define a segmentation strategy and the appropriate messages to create strategic communications that drive key audiences to launch on self-service advertising products. The ideal Email Marketing Manager will be skilled at technical implementation, knowing how mine the data for the right segment. This role will also require a candidate to show above average project management skills; to being able to navigate a product roadmap and push email projects through to completion. Lastly, the email marketing will have deep experience in email marketing strategy – having deployed successful email campaigns, understanding what drives engagement and action and creating robust reports that connect email marketing inputs to business outputs. Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and execute email communications specific to acquisition for self-service advertising products.
· Working closely with content developers, create innovative, personalized messaging to drive advertiser launches at scale.
· Understand the marketing funnel, and create programs that move prospects to the point of launch
· Optimize against key metrics including CTR, open rates, revenue lift, engagement, and retention.
· Write queries that pull pertinent data, that can spur triggered messages to audience members.
· Manage a process of iterative A/B testing to continually improve performance through optimized messaging and targeting.
· Conduct analysis and reporting for the email marketing channel.
· Track email best practices, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years relevant work experience in online and/or B2B marketing
· 6+ years’ experience managing an email marketing program
· 2+ years’ experience using SQL and similar queries to analyze data
· Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to influence others
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other related field or equivalent
· Deep understanding of email marketing technology and implementation; experience with ESP migrations a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA
· 3+ years’ experience using and editing HTML
· Experience in B2B, high-tech products/services
· Strong analytic and quantitative skills – ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs—advanced Excel skills
