DESCRIPTION

Amazon UAE is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working and creative candidate to join as Vendor Manager for the Consumables business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a Category in a highly entrepreneurial, dynamic & self-directed culture.

The successful candidate will be the business owner, with responsibility for signing the right mix of vendors, adding unique relevant selection, driving margin improvements and delivering top notch customer experience.

He/she must be an effective leader and communicator working with our most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and groups. He or she should have strong business judgment with a track record of strong ownership values and relationship management skills.

· 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an account manager/vendor manager role is desired
The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successful project ownership and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities. An understanding of, and passion for e-commerce is highly desired.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree is required
· Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results
· Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.
· Strong inclination to “Get Hands Dirty” in building organizational capability for a new businesses
· Deep understanding of the category nuances (category management, marketing, merchandising, instock management, expiry management, quality metrics)
· Ability to think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail
· Experience defining and delivering innovative ideas to drive long term results
· Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
· Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
· Candidate must be fluent in English
· Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form
· Proficient in Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Sales/Business Development experience preferred
· Proven ability to work in ambiguous situations
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels
· Superior analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs
· Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves
· Online experience preferred
· Proven experience leading teams & cross-functional projects
· MBA
