With more than 12 years of extensive experience as an HR professional, I have developed expertise in leading and managing all aspects of the HR function across diverse geographies. Over the years, I have worked closely with the senior management teams to design and implement the HR strategies, performance management systems, employee engagement activities and recruitment plans. Possessing experience of working for international organisations, I have gained recognition for understanding the local regulations, designing the policies and procedures and creating the HR manuals as per the latest guidelines as well as ensuring the same get aligned to the overall organisational objectives. I also have gained experience on analysing employee performance and engagement thru various surveys and designing KPIs as per business goals. Equipped with excellent relationship management skills have successfully developed strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders including the business leaders, cross-functional teams and the third party alliances/ vendors. An articulate communicator and a team player, my strength lies in creating performance development plans for individuals and creating an empowered work environment where all are encouraged to contribute towards the success of the organisation.
Presently, working as an HR specialist on contract basis for PORR Bau GmBH, I am responsible for starting up and establishing the HR department. As part of my role, I lead and manage the activities related to recruitment of new employees/ expats, performance management, training and development, drafting of policies and procedures and employee relations for the Dubai office. I have successfully maintained high satisfaction levels for all activities performed including HR services, visa issuance, vendor services, migration and settling down process and accuracy in policies.
During my previous engagements, have held various roles of increasing responsibilities in the HR field. I provided strategic direction and vision to the HR function for various organisations. I have contributed towards setting up robust processes and systems and working closely with the management teams to achieve the business and organisational objectives. A consistent performer, have received acknowledgement and appreciation for the contributions made and results accomplished.

PORR Bau GmBH Jan 2018 – Present
It is a construction company originally from Austria with offices in 12 countries and operates with expert products in tunnelling, railway construction and civil engineering on selected project and international markets.
HR Specialist
The first employee to start and set up the HR department. The roles and responsibilities are as below:
Recruitment:
o Designed the hiring plan, preparing job descriptions with the business managers, managing the recruitment team at Qatar office and sourcing internal employees as well as working with consultants for Dubai Project.
o Developing and implementing the compensation structure and gradation system for Dubai HR office.
o On-boarding vendors and coordinate outsourcing of the skilled labours and the hiring for labour camps and facilities.
o Facilitating the induction and orientation process and creating HR manuals for all new employees/ expats.
o Labour vendor management – In charge of labour vendor management to look over the labour recruitment, mobilisation and the invoicing for the vendor.

Policies & Procedures and processes:
o Strategically designing the HR processes and policies like compensatory leave policy, transportation policy, leave policy and mobile phone policy while ensuring compliance with the UAE Labour law and alignment with the organisation’s global policies
o Designed and created the Employee Handbook and PRO work processes and the claim procedure along with management and supervision of work.
o In charge of medical insurance process for UAE. Ensuring all employees are covered under medical insurance with best of the benefits and schemes.
o In charge of HRIS system for UAE. Focused on continuous developing and analysing the system in benefit of employees and management.
Performance Management
o Designing the KRA’s and KPI’s for the employees concerning the business strategy and goals
o Developing and rolling out the new balance scorecard for the office management staff.
Training and Development:
o Identifying and developing the training needs in consultation with Business heads to understand expats relocating to Dubai and helping them in their development.
o Playing a pivotal role in conceptualising and designing the training modules, facilitating training across all employees for behavioural skills and delivering training on HR systems to all employees.
Employee Engagement:
o Designing and rolling out Employee Satisfaction Survey for all new employee/expats to understand their journey during the migration process from their home country to Dubai.
o Designed Dubai Boarders handbook which gives information and whereabouts of Dubai for all new employees/expats to help expats settle comfortably.
o Maintaining clear communication with the employees, providing HR support, ensuring timely resolution of employee grievances and establishing harmonious working environment at all levels.
Notable Achievements
o Successfully achieved high results for the various responsibilities. Few of the notable ones are as given below:
o 95% employees rated that they are satisfied with HR services in Dubai.
o 98% on-time visa issuance.
o 80% of employees rated satisfaction with their migration and settling down the process in Dubai.
o 90% vendors are happy working with Dubai HR.
o 90% accuracy in strategically designing the policies and process.
